Originally from regional WA, Taylor is a trained screen and stage actress in addition to her work as an Arts Educator and Filmmaker. Her educational pursuits include a Double Degree in Contemporary Performance (WAAPA/ECU) a Graduate Diploma in Education (Drama/Visual Arts specialisation) and Post Graduate qualifications in Arts Management/Curatorial studies. She is currently completing her Masters in Screenwriting at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS). Taylor’s education specialities include Screen Acting, Theatresports and Physical Theatre/Dance in addition to Drama and Communication skills (Trinity College of London/ASCA).
Most recently Taylor has worked on Damien Giglietta’s (88 to 1 Productions) latest feature film ‘Mercy of Others’ as Art Director, Production Designer, Acting coach and Producer. In 2021 Taylor acted in her first feature 'Misplaced' by James Demitri, starring Matt Levett. Her love for filmmaking has seen her expand into the roles of director, writer, editor, producer and production designer while acting in her latest smartphone short film, ‘Packet-Mix’. This was accepted into various festivals. Taylor is currently in post-production of sci-fi short 'Last Request' in conjunction with 88 to 1 Productions as lead actor, writer and producer. She is looking forward to continuing her journey as a filmmaker at ‘Tinker Productions’.
Taylor's most recent theatrical role was in the New Theatre’s Fringe production of ‘Cats Talk Back.’ Prior to that she was in Patina Productions ‘The Poor Kitchen’ (Sydney) and Bubble & Squeak productions in London.
She is determined to continue developing her craft, promote arts accessibility for regional areas and embrace all that this incredible industry has to offer.
